About Department of Neonatology and Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine, University Hospital Bonn
The Department of Neonatology and Pediatric Intensive Care Medicine at the University Hospital Bonn is one of the leading centers for high-risk pregnancy care, premature infants, and sick newborns. Approximately 500 sick newborns are cared for annually, including around 100 premature infants under 1,500 g and approximately 150 newborns with congenital malformations. For severely ill newborns, highly specialized treatments such as ECMO (artificial lung) are available. The team comprises more than 150 employees; the department is located in the Parent-Child Center (ELKI) on the Venusberg campus.
