About Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology
The Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Cologne University Hospital treats patients with diseases of the digestive organs, liver and bile ducts. The department includes Ward 10.1, the Central Endoscopy Unit, sonography and the gastroenterology-hepatology specialist outpatient clinic. Key areas are liver disease (hepatitis, cirrhosis, HCC), gastroenterological oncology in cooperation with the Centre for Integrated Oncology (CIO) Cologne as well as the interdisciplinary liver transplantation outpatient clinic.
