About Department of Ophthalmology, University Hospital Cologne
The Department of Ophthalmology of the University Hospital Cologne is a leading European centre for the diagnosis and treatment of all eye diseases. Focus areas include corneal diseases and surgery (DMEK, DSAEK, DALK), retinal diseases and vitreoretinal surgery, strabismus and neuro-ophthalmology, as well as the laser centre. The department performs the most corneal transplants in Germany and has its own eye bank. At the Cologne site, outpatient and inpatient treatments as well as a 24-hour emergency clinic are offered.
