Eduardus Hospital in Cologne-Deutz is a Catholic primary and secondary care hospital with 212 beds run by the Josefs-Gesellschaft. Founded in 1926 as an orthopaedic-surgical clinic, it is now certified as a maximum care joint replacement centre and regional trauma centre. Approximately 10,000 inpatients and 32,000 outpatients are treated annually. Focus areas are orthopaedics and rheumatology, trauma surgery, internal medicine, visceral surgery, spinal surgery, sports orthopaedics, geriatrics and the central emergency department.
