About Department and Polyclinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
The Department and Polyclinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at Cologne University Hospital covers the full spectrum of psychiatric disorders. Outpatient services include diagnostics and treatment in specialist outpatient clinics and the institute outpatient department; the day hospital has 25 places, and there are 105 inpatient beds in disorder-specific focus areas. In addition to psychotherapeutic and drug treatments, there are occupational, art and sports therapy as well as neuromodulatory procedures (electroconvulsive therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, deep brain stimulation). The department is certified by the DGPPN as a training centre.
