About Department of Urology of University Medicine Essen
The Department of Urology of University Medicine Essen covers the full spectrum of urology and includes 2 wards as well as 3 urological operating rooms. Inpatient and day-care, approximately 2,500 patients are treated and 4,000 procedures are performed annually. The department offers a wide range of specialized consultations, including urooncology, robotics, andrology and prosthetics, pediatric and adolescent urology as well as transsexuality and incontinence. The urological outpatient clinic cares for approximately 8,000 small and large patients annually.
