About Center for Emergency Medicine University Hospital Essen
The Center for Emergency Medicine of University Medicine Essen operates the Central Emergency Department North (ZNA North) with a focus on clinical acute and emergency medicine. The emergency department is open around the clock, 365 days a year and treats all medical emergencies with three shock rooms, computed tomography, digital X-ray equipment, initial assessment rooms and a 12-bed emergency station. Initial assessment follows the Manchester Triage System; care is based on medical urgency.
