About Department of Neurosurgery and Spinal Surgery
The Department of Neurosurgery and Spinal Surgery at University Hospital Essen is one of the largest centers in Germany and treats the full spectrum of neurosurgery and spinal surgery. Key areas are head (brain tumors, vascular diseases, skull base), spine, pediatric neurosurgery, functional neurosurgery and peripheral nerve and plexus surgery. The neurosurgical outpatient department is available Mon-Thu 7:30am-6pm and Fri 7:30am-4pm; there are numerous specialist consultations and a second opinion consultation.
