About Center for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine
The Center for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at University Hospital Essen consists of three specialized departments for pediatrics and the Department of Pediatric Surgery. It treats children and adolescents of all age groups with focus areas including neonatology/Perinatal Center, pediatric intensive care, nephrology, gastroenterology, hepatology, endocrinology, hematology/oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and rheumatology. The department has a 24-hour emergency department, numerous specialized outpatient clinics, and is involved in teaching and research.
